01Overview
Welcome to the Unity Licenses operator guide. This document walks you through everything you need to get your licence activated on the Unity verification network — from checking your device is eligible, through installation and activation, to claiming your share of verification rewards.
Unity Licenses is an independent node operator distributing a limited allocation of complimentary operator licences on the Unity network. Each licence, once activated, pairs your mobile device with a validator position and begins earning verification rewards on a 50/50 revenue-share basis.
02Device & network requirements
Supported devices
- iOS: iPhone running iOS 15 or later.
- Android: device running Android 10 or later with Google Play Services.
The Unity app is a lightweight background verification client. It does not noticeably affect battery life, but your device must remain powered on with an internet connection to earn verification rewards.
Network
- A stable Wi-Fi or 4G/5G connection. Carrier-grade NAT is fine.
- No VPN, proxy, or Tor connection active during claim or activation — this will trigger anti-fraud controls and can void your licence.
- No datacentre / hosting IP ranges.
Not supported
Rooted, jailbroken, emulated, cloned or virtualised devices are not permitted and will be detected and revoked on activation. One device, one licence.
03Claiming your licence
If you have not yet claimed a licence, head to the Available licenses section of unitylicenses.io, pick any unclaimed licence from the grid and press Claim. The flow takes under a minute.
- Enter your name and email. We use these to issue the licence and to send you your activation code as a backup.
- Tick the consent box. You are confirming you have read our Terms of Service and Risk Disclosure, and that you meet the eligibility criteria.
- Press Claim license. Assuming the licence is still available, the modal will switch to a success state showing your activation code — a UUID that looks like
9fdd4761-6714-4c17-bb53-526b64236aef. - Copy the activation code. Use the Copy button, or write it down. You will also receive the code by email.
04Installing the Unity app
Download
- iOS: install from the App Store.
- Android: install from Google Play.
Only download from the official stores. Any other source is unsupported and may be malicious.
Permissions
On first launch the Unity app will request the following permissions. All are used purely for verification and none transmit personal content off your device:
- Network access — required for the verification handshake.
- Background refresh — keeps your node online when the app is closed.
- Notifications — alerts you to withdrawals or issues with your node.
05Activating your licence
Once the Unity app is installed, open it and complete the short onboarding. When prompted to "Enter a licence operator code", paste the activation UUID you received after claiming.
- Tap Licence operator in the onboarding or the settings menu.
- Paste your activation code into the field.
- Tap Activate. The app will verify the code against the Unity network — this typically takes 5–15 seconds.
- Once confirmed you will see your validator position, uptime status, and the 50/50 split indicator between you and Unity Licenses.
If activation fails
- "Code already in use" — the code has been activated on another device. Contact us at enquire@unitylicenses.io.
- "Code invalid" — check for typos or stray spaces; codes are case-sensitive UUIDs.
- "Device not eligible" — see the device requirements above. Common causes are VPN, emulator, or a datacentre IP.
06Earning rewards
Your licence earns rewards automatically in the background. There is nothing to do once it is activated — just keep your device powered on and online.
How the split works
- The Unity network pays out validator rewards directly to the licence.
- Rewards are split 50/50 between you (the licence operator) and Unity Licenses (the licence issuer).
- Your share accrues live in the Unity app under Rewards.
Uptime & performance
Rewards scale with uptime. Our licences target 90% uptime as a healthy baseline — meaning your device should be online for roughly 21 hours of every 24. Short interruptions for charging, restarts or travel are fine and do not void the licence.
You can see your current uptime, network contribution and historical earnings on the Node tab of the Unity app.
07Withdrawing
Withdrawals follow the Unity network's standard schedule. Once your accrued balance reaches the minimum payout threshold you can request a withdrawal from the Rewards tab of the Unity app.
- Open the Unity app and tap Rewards → Withdraw.
- Enter the destination wallet address (supported networks are listed in the app).
- Confirm the amount — you can only withdraw your 50% share; the Unity Licenses share is settled separately.
- The network processes the withdrawal within the standard settlement window.
08Security best practice
- Never share your activation code. We will never ask you for it — not by email, not on Telegram, never.
- Never share your wallet seed phrase. Unity Licenses does not custody your rewards and will never request recovery words.
- Beware of impersonators. Our only official channels are t.me/UnityLicensesIO, x.com/UnityLicensesIO and email ending in
@unitylicenses.io. - Keep your phone secure. Anyone with physical access to your device can interact with your Unity app.
09Troubleshooting
Node shows offline
- Confirm your device has internet connectivity.
- Disable battery-saver mode for the Unity app.
- Enable Background App Refresh (iOS) or remove the app from battery optimisation (Android).
- Restart the app, then the device.
Rewards not accruing
- Allow up to 24 hours after activation before the first rewards appear.
- Check your uptime on the Node tab — if it has fallen below ~70% recently, the network throttles rewards.
- Make sure no VPN or proxy is active.
Lost activation code
Check the email we sent at claim time. If you cannot find it, contact enquire@unitylicenses.io with the name and email you used to claim and we will re-issue the code to you.
Device replacement
Upgrading your phone? Email us and we will transfer your licence to the new device after a short verification step. This is free, but limited to one transfer in any rolling 90-day window to prevent abuse.
